January 2011

Aboriginal artist Reko Rennie (Kamilaroi/Gamilaraay/Gummaroi) visited UVA in January 2011 as an artist-in-residence. His exhibition, Patternation, involved spray painting the walls of the Kluge-Ruhe gallery with a geometric pattern that was based on Kamilaroi designs. Rennie also participated in a symposium titled Beyond Walls with Native American artist Frank Buffalo Hyde and UVA Professor Dean Dass.
