May 2012

Jason Wing is an artist of Chinese (Cantonese) and Aboriginal (Biripi) heritage who works in mixed media and installation. His exhibition People of Substance included a variety of site-specific installations, including Blacktown Dreaming, a bed composed of hypodermic syringes. As part of his visit, Wing installed a variety of his site-specific artworks, presented an artist talk at the museum and painted a mural in the museum’s breezeway.
