First Tuesday of each month
9 am, 10 am, 11 am
Ages six months to four years
We take a break from Tots and Dots in January, but registration for Tots and Dots on February 7 is open – click the links below to register for the session you would like to attend.
According to early childhood development studies, infants and toddlers are attracted to high contrast visuals, bold images, and colorful objects, making Aboriginal art the perfect starting point for your child’s art education. This early visual literacy program features a brief tour focusing on basic elements of visual art and ways to further stimulate visual and interpretive development in young children. The tour is followed by multi-sensory art play for children aged two to four led by Kluge-Ruhe education staff, while babies and caregivers enjoy social play in the gallery with visually stimulating toys.
Tots and Dots is designed for families. Private tours are available for larger groups or preschools who wish to have a similar experience.
Strollers and crying babies are welcome. We sometimes take photographs during this program. If you prefer that we not take photos of you or your child, please inform us when you check-in.
